- Bastille are a musical quartet from London, formed in 2010 by lead singer and songwriter Dan Smith who started in the music business as a producer, they signed to Virgin Records in 2011 along with the likes of major producer/songwriter Eric Prydz
- Bastille are a fairly new band, and are relatively unknown in the music world, although this year they played the Festival Republic Stage at the Reading and Leeds festivals
- Quote from lead singer Dan about their style 'It varies a bit I guess, from darker cinematic pop to indie with no guitars, and there's a bit of electronic stuff as well. And lots of harmonies.'
